How to Renew Your Nights Away Permit – Using a computer or tablet
Nights Away Permits renewals are requested using the Scouts.org online system.
Follow the steps below to do this:

Sign in to https://www.scouts.org.uk

The ‘My Membership’ page will open, on the lefthand menu, scroll down and select:

My Active Permits

You will see a summary of your current permits, click on the blue ‘Nights Away’

You will see your current Nights Away permit, scroll to the bottom and click ‘Renew’

The online renewal form will be partially completed, you should add the remaining details. Your progress can be saved, allowing you to complete this in stages.

You will be asked to nominate a Nights Away Assessor (NAA). Select ‘Internal Assessor’ and navigate through the options using the arrow buttons at the bottom of the list of names to find someone suitable, they must not be in your own group.
If you don’t have a specific NAA in mind, find and select Alistair Cubbin.

You will be prompted to ‘Add Experience’, you should:

Provide enough detail for your NAA to evaluate your experience, involvement in previous Nights Away activities, and your ongoing skill and capability to run future events. It’s important to go beyond just listing camps, you should include specific details about your contributions.

The ‘Add Experience’ box is limited to 1,500 characters. If you have kept a logbook of Nights Away events, you can upload this as a separate document to support your application.

You can monitor the status of your application by signing back into the Scouts online system at https://www.scouts.org.uk
